Blouse: ASOS / Jeans: Zara / Pumps: Chinese Laundry / Clutch: Aldo

Here we are again, I’m still impatiently waiting for Spring to break and trying to navigate through my wardrobe. Although I haven’t put them away yet, I stubbornly refuse to wear my sweaters and I am dying to wear dresses! With the weather being so non permissive, for this outfit I opted for a long sleeve pleated blouse and Zara high waist jeans. I had to sneak in my ankle strap sandals just to satisfy my craving for warm weather styles.

Despite wanting to wear dresses, I do love this latest style of blouse for Spring. Tie neck blouses are popping up everywhere. They are so prim and proper! Sometimes I will pair it with a skirt and boots, but today I wanted to add a little edge to the top. I achieved this by stepping into a pair of distressed high waist black jeans. Also as you may have noticed, I wear a lot of black and white but I like to keep it fresh. In order to add interest to my many neutral looks I keep accessories like this Aldo clutch around. Not only does it infuse a pop of color, it also adds depth with the fun print. It’s always a good idea to take a serious color combo to a not so serious place. As I have said before, one of my fashion philosophies is that getting dressed should be entertaining… so mix it up! I’m signing off for now, but let me leave with the hopes that next time we talk it won’t be snowing and there will be sandals on my feet! Until next time my fashion friends…
